Topic 01

Inclusive Culture & Belonging

What gets measured gets managed. What gets felt, gets remembered.

About this topic

Culture is not a poster on the wall or a policy in the handbook. It is the sum of every interaction, every decision, every moment when someone feels seen — or doesn’t. I help organisations understand the gap between the culture they think they have and the culture people are actually experiencing, and what to do about it.

This session is grounded in over eight years of frontline inclusion work with organisations across industries and sectors. It draws on my professional expertise as an inclusive culture specialist, and on the lived reality of navigating workplaces as a transgender woman — experience that gives this work a depth no theory alone can provide.

What audiences take away

Delegates leave this session with a clear-eyed understanding of what inclusion actually means in practice, practical tools they can apply immediately, and a shared language for talking about culture change that sticks beyond the event itself.

The most common feedback: “I knew inclusion mattered before this. Now I understand why we’ve been getting it wrong — and what to do about it.”

Who this is for

This session works for leadership teams, all-staff conferences, HR and people functions, and sector-specific events where the audience includes decision-makers who can actually drive change. It scales from 50 people to 5,000.

A note on tone

My approach to this topic is warm, direct and deliberately non-preachy. I don’t lecture audiences about what they should believe. I invite them to examine what they actually do — and help them see the gap. That approach consistently generates the kind of honest, engaged conversation that most DEI sessions never reach.
